Our tour is an ideal option for those who want to see Almaty nature, but only have 1 day for the trip. The car will be delivered to your hotel in the morning. First of all, we head to the mountain lake Issyk, which is located not far from the city. The lake is surrounded by high mountains and spruce trees, and the water is very cold at any time of the year. The gorge itself abounds with wild apples and apricots during the season. Brave tourists can climb with a guide to the observation deck, which offers views of the lake and the Issyk River gorge. On the way to the lake we will visit the Issyk Museum, which is famous for the fact that the famous Golden Man was found in its place. The Golden Man is a warrior of the Saka period (4th-5th century BC), who was buried in a mound, dressed in exquisite, golden elements of clothing. After visiting the lake, you will have lunch at a trout farm in the Turgen Gorge. Trout lives exclusively in clean, cold water, and the Turgen River is its ideal habitat. If for some reason you are not interested in trout, we can organize lunch outdoors and serve you home-made lagman for lunch. After lunch we climb higher into the Turgen gorge, where the Bear Waterfall is located. This is one of three, but the most accessible waterfalls in the gorge. A simple path 900 meters long (one way) leads to it. Along the path there are large quantities of hawthorn, rosehip, barberry and raspberry. Next we will go back to the city of Almaty. The estimated time of arrival in the city is 17:00, but it may vary depending on your speed and wishes. We never rush tourists; travel at a pace that is convenient for you.
Important information Due to the proximity to the million-plus city of Almaty, roads to tour locations are often closed due to the threat of mudflows and avalanches. Before planning your trip, please ask us about location availability for your dates.
Kristina and Dima crafted a journey for us with incredible attention to detail. They conveyed us safely from Almaty to Tbilisi over 14 days, on-road and off-road. We went to many places you can only get to with difficulty, and those places were stunningly beautiful. As they got to know our personalities and interests, they started to adapt the trip even more personally for us. Every stop, every meal, every overnight accommodation was meticulously planned.

I would highly recommend Din-Jeep Trip. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable three weeks travelling with them and being looked after. The vehicles were top class, well maintained and comfortable. Drivers were highly experienced and also knowledgable about the area, its’ history and wildlife. For an unforgettable, safe and memorable tour (with fantastic food on top!) you definitely won’t find better. A huge thanks to Dima, Kristina and Kirill for the fantastic memories and support throughout our trip.
We were 8 women from Thailand. We had so much fun and amazing experience with Dima and Christina. We discussed with Christina over email and WhatsApp. They were able to customize the itinerary to accommodate our requirements. They helped us much more beyond e.g. exchange money, groceries, apartment's problems etc. We got a lot of information about history and the sites. I definitely recommend you go with Din-jeeptrip. The price was very reasonable. It was one of the best value for money trip we had.
