Tour description

On our tour you will be able to visit two countries of Central Asia in 8 days, and also feel like a real nomad.

The locations on the tour are designed for people who appreciate and love untouched nature. We will not take you to the most popular places with crowds of tourists, but will show you exclusively the jeepper route.

On the tour you will be able to swim and sunbathe at the largest mountain lake Issyk-Kul, spend the night in a yurt - the traditional dwelling of nomads, see alpine meadows and the beauty of the Tien Shan mountains, enjoy natural hot springs, and also make a traditional Asian felt rug with your own hands and take away take it with you as a keepsake and much more.

The tour program is aimed at lovers of outdoor adventures; it involves one night in tents. If you prefer hotel conditions, you can request an individual program according to your preferences.

Tour day-by-day

We will meet you at Almaty airport and head to the Turgen Gorge.
Along the way we will visit the Issyk burial mounds, where the famous “Golden Man” was found. In the Turgen Gorge we will visit the Bear Waterfall, and after that we will head to glamping, which is located on the banks of the Turgen River.
Depending on the time of your arrival, it is possible to conduct a small city tour of Almaty.
1
day
On the second day we drive through the Asy high plateau and alpine meadows. There you will see the Asy-Turgen astrophysical observatory. At the end of the plateau we will find ourselves in the Red Rocks tract. In the second part of the day we will visit the Bartogay reservoir. Our second home will be a recreation center near the hot springs.
On the third day, you will have until noon to enjoy the hot springs. Afterwards our path lies through the beautiful Ketmen mountain pass (3050m). Towards evening we will reach Lake Tuzkol and set up a tent camp there. Lake Tuzkol is famous for its view, which opens early in the morning in clear weather. From the lake you can capture the highest peaks of the Kazakhstan Tien Shan: Khan Tengri Peak (7010m), Pobeda Peak (7349m) and others
On the fourth day you will visit the high mountain valley of Tekes (2200m above sea level). This valley never leaves anyone indifferent, so the journey through Kazakhstan comes to an end at the Tekes Valley. Afterwards we will cross the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and by evening we will find ourselves in the city of Karakol. There we will stay at a local hotel.
On the sixth day you will have until noon to swim and sunbathe. Afterwards we will go to the Tamga gorge, where there are stones with ancient Buddhist engravings. Afterwards you will visit the Skazka canyon with its Martian landscapes. And at the end of the day we will arrive in the village of Bokonbaeva, where we will stay at a local guest house. There the hostess will give you a master class on making traditional felt carpets.
On the seventh day you will visit the famous “Chan-Tuz” salt caves, and after that we head to the high-mountain lake Son Kul. Along the way we will overcome the “33 Parrots” pass with a waterfall at its top. At Son Kul Lake we will spend the night in a heated yurt camp and spend our last night in Kyrgyzstan under the starry sky.

Our video from the tour

Kristina and Dima crafted a journey for us with incredible attention to detail. They conveyed us safely from Almaty to Tbilisi over 14 days, on-road and off-road. We went to many places you can only get to with difficulty, and those places were stunningly beautiful. As they got to know our personalities and interests, they started to adapt the trip even more personally for us. Every stop, every meal, every overnight accommodation was meticulously planned.

I would highly recommend Din-Jeep Trip. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable three weeks travelling with them and being looked after. The vehicles were top class, well maintained and comfortable. Drivers were highly experienced and also knowledgable about the area, its’ history and wildlife. For an unforgettable, safe and memorable tour (with fantastic food on top!) you definitely won’t find better. A huge thanks to Dima, Kristina and Kirill for the fantastic memories and support throughout our trip.

We were 8 women from Thailand. We had so much fun and amazing experience with Dima and Christina. We discussed with Christina over email and WhatsApp. They were able to customize the itinerary to accommodate our requirements. They helped us much more beyond e.g. exchange money, groceries, apartment's problems etc. We got a lot of information about history and the sites. I definitely recommend you go with Din-jeeptrip. The price was very reasonable. It was one of the best value for money trip we had.
