This is a two-day tour, most of which passes through alpine meadows - the Asy high mountain plateau (2200-2800m). This area has been a summer pasture for livestock since ancient times. You will see how real nomads live in a national mobile home - a yurt, as well as their countless flocks that graze in the meadows.
The path to the wide Asy plateau is provided by the narrow but picturesque Turgen gorge, which is famous for its waterfalls. You will see one of these waterfalls called Bear waterfall.
The Asy-Turgen high-mountain astrophysical observatory is located on the plateau, and a huge number of traces of ancient man - rock paintings are scattered on the plateau.
On the descent from the plateau there is an unusual tract "Red Rocks", as well as the Bartogay reservoir, from which the Big Almaty Canal (BAK) originates.
Feel like real nomads and plunge into the depths of history with us.
Tour day-by-day
The car will be delivered to your hotel on the morning of the first day. Departure from the city is accompanied by a short excursion through the history and modernity of the city of Almaty and Kazakhstan. On the way we will see ancient mounds where the “Golden Man” was discovered. Next, our path lies through the Turgen Gorge, where we will take a short walk to the “Bear Waterfall”. You will also see and learn a lot of new things about the only ones in the Tien Shan declared a natural monument, the Chinturgen moss spruce forests. Afterwards we find ourselves on the high-mountain plateau of Assy, which over the millions of years of its existence has hosted both ancient people of the Bronze Age (we will see evidence of this - rock paintings), and world-famous travelers such as Pyotr Semenov-Tianshansky and Chokan Valikhanov. In contrast to antiquity, at the very beginning of the plateau there is a functioning astrophysical observatory, the structure and purpose of which we will introduce you to.

We do not use other people's and stock materials, all the shots were made by us personally.
Kristina and Dima crafted a journey for us with incredible attention to detail. They conveyed us safely from Almaty to Tbilisi over 14 days, on-road and off-road. We went to many places you can only get to with difficulty, and those places were stunningly beautiful. As they got to know our personalities and interests, they started to adapt the trip even more personally for us. Every stop, every meal, every overnight accommodation was meticulously planned.

I would highly recommend Din-Jeep Trip. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable three weeks travelling with them and being looked after. The vehicles were top class, well maintained and comfortable. Drivers were highly experienced and also knowledgable about the area, its’ history and wildlife. For an unforgettable, safe and memorable tour (with fantastic food on top!) you definitely won’t find better. A huge thanks to Dima, Kristina and Kirill for the fantastic memories and support throughout our trip.
We were 8 women from Thailand. We had so much fun and amazing experience with Dima and Christina. We discussed with Christina over email and WhatsApp. They were able to customize the itinerary to accommodate our requirements. They helped us much more beyond e.g. exchange money, groceries, apartment's problems etc. We got a lot of information about history and the sites. I definitely recommend you go with Din-jeeptrip. The price was very reasonable. It was one of the best value for money trip we had.
Accommodation at a campsite. The price of the tariff includes the use of our camping equipment, as well as camping maintenance services (installation of tents, cooking, etc.).
