What is a tour to Charyn National Park?
These are 5 canyons, differing in their structure and beauty: starting from the well-known “Valley of Castles” Charyn Canyon,
to the little-known, but no less impressive, deserted “moon” canyon.
Almaty region is the only place in the WORLD where you can see such a variety of canyons collected in close proximity to each other.
If we draw an analogy with landscapes, we can find an analogue of any world-famous canyon, for example, the Grand Canyon in Colorado is our Valley of Castles, the Fish River Canyon in Namibia is our black Aktogay Canyon. Just think, people are willing to travel all over the world to see them all! And residents and guests of Almaty have the opportunity to see everything in a couple of days.

Tour day-by-day
The car will be delivered to your hotel on the morning of the first day. Departure from the city is accompanied by a short excursion through the history and modernity of the city of Almaty and Kazakhstan as a whole. The first location will be "Valley of Castles". Thanks to the reddish color of the rocks, the landscapes here are reminiscent of those on Mars, and the similarity to the Grand Canyon in the USA brought fame to these places. Afterwards we will take a break at the Kurtogai Canyon and have lunch. Next, we will visit the Moon or Yellow Canyon, which got its name due to the relief reminiscent of the surface of the Earth’s satellite. We will go up to the observation deck to admire the panorama and go down into the Temirlik Canyon.

On the morning of the second day we will have breakfast and visit the amazingly majestic Black Rocks canyon. We'll walk to the cave grotto and make a stop at the lookout with dizzying views.
Afterwards, as a finishing touch, we will visit the Bestamak canyon, the name of which translates as “five isthmuses”. The landscapes along the canyon bed change five times. Here the classic views of Charyn are replaced by narrow gorges forming stone sarcophagi. Next we head back to the city of Almaty. Arrival time in the city is approximately 18:00, but the time is approximate. Everything will depend on your speed and wishes. We never rush anyone - enjoy the journey at your own pace.
